Hans Åkerman is an artist from Stockholm Sweden.

 "As a child I was fascinated by an air organ. When I was 5 years old, I sat in my room and played it. That's where the melody originated. The easiest to understand, the distance, the refracted object. When I was a bit older I visited my gun collecting grandfather and he had a proper organ upstairs. The year was 1984 and the Summer Olympics from Los Angeles filled the television schedule - but all I could do was explore all the sounds and rhythms the organ had. It was the same year I got my first EP by Depeche Mode from my uncle Sven-Erik. And then it went on to program sounds on 8-bit computers. The home computer was my early studio. There were so few who understood the technology and you felt like you were in an exciting and secret forest. A world of your own that you could share with your peers."
